Biographical Info
David Bailey began working in the disability field beginning in 1987. He studied at Northern Virginia Community College, and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He worked in residential and vocational services for individuals with disabilities, and eventually managed a Supported Employment program, serving on the Governor’s Board for Disabilities and Employment, as well as the Thurston County Developmental Disabilities Board. In 1994, he was registered as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the State of Washington, and began working with injured workers and employers through the Department of Labor and Industries.
David relocated to Texas for several years working as a Social Security Claims Adjudicator, and later as a Marketing Manager for an Occupational Medicine Clinic. He also worked in sales, insurance, money management/securities, and as a construction and HVAC contractor. David returned to WA and vocational rehabilitation in 2011, and earned his CDMS (Certified Disability Management Specialist) designation. David’s construction/mechanical background, sales and marketing skills, understanding of disabilities, and extensive social work experience all combine to make him uniquely equipped to resolve complex issues surrounding workers compensation claims.
